Rachel Brophy

Classical Voice Repertoire

I've been very actively involved in my school music choir program throughout high school, performing in ensembles and taking small group lessons. I am a member of my school’s Madrigal Choir, a select 24-person ensemble that performs a cappella with four people on a part. Late this fall, as I decided to pursue music more seriously, I began private lessons with Kristy Ingersoll, who was my choir director in 9th grade and currently directs the Youth Choir of the Finger Lakes, with which I also perform.
With Ms. Ingersoll's guidance, I have been developing my voice as a classical soloist for the first time. I am learning an entirely new repertoire.

December 2019

I had the pleasure of performing in the high school festival choir with the RPO in the beautiful Eastman Theatre.  We rehearsed for 10 hours followed by six sold-out performances over four days.

Almost, Maine
Story of Hope

Almost, Maine is a play by John Cariani, comprising nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine.

This November 2019 performance captures my first role in a play.  I hope to continue to act and perform in college.
